Building a Subscriber Relationship!

Building a Subscriber Relationship!

Most internet marketers are comfortable with a couple of chores they do on a regular basis to promote their on line business. They don't realize that making a slight change in their strategy they could learn a few more activities they could incorporate into their existing regiment which would enhance their online presence substantially.

Building a List of Subscribers:

Many marketers focus on building a list thinking this is the key to marketing. There's nothing wrong with building a list, however, this is only one aspect of marketing. Building a list will give us names of individuals who may have expressed an interest in our business opportunity. Leads are one of the first priorities on my list for sure, but many times you will have as many unsubscribers as new subscribers. What is the secret of maintaining the subscribers you have?

Building a Relationship with Subscribers:

Consider building a good relationship with your subscribers. This will help maintain a consistent growth of your subscribers list. One way to build a good rapport with subscribers is to put out a weekly newsletter with tons of information regarding your product or services. Sooner or later your subscribers will get to know you for your strait forward, truthful information. You will become their expert on your product or service and when the time comes to take action and make a purchase, hopefully the subscriber will reward you with an order.

Another helpful tip is to give the subscriber more than they ever expect. Since you only have one opportunity to make a first impression, your first contact with the potential client is super important. A great gesture would be to give a free sample of your product. This is an excellent way to get the subscribers contact information because they must give you their information to get their free gift. Don't think for a moment that this will devalue your product or service. It won't...this is an excellent way to get the potential client to start using your products before they have to make a decision to purchase anything from you. You must believe in your product in order to be totally effective in the marketing of that product. If you don't believe enough in your products to use the products yourself, it will be rather difficult for you to convey to a potential client your product is the best product to fill their needs. Customers will quickly pick up any insincerity, misleading information, and non committal attitudes of any sales person. When this happens your chance of a sale is dead before you ever get started.

To enhance your relationship with your potential clients can be accomplished by good customer service. By promptly answering any emails and personally go out of your way to answer any questions they may have. Don't just post a link for them to click on....that is so impersonal. Explain in simple laymen's terms when answering their questions and make sure you put as much contact information as possible on your reply. This is not the time to try to sell your product or introduce another product for their consideration. Just answer the question as best you can and the customer will appreciate your low key, non threatening approach.

Maintaining a Respect with Subscribers:

When a potential client feels that you are peddling products just to make a commission, you immediately lose their respect and trust. Once this happens, you will never get a second chance to build that first impression again. Once that happens there is absolutely no chance of ever winning that persons confidence again.

Using Automated Tools:

If you choose to use any type of automated tools such as an auto responder, make sure you keep your follow up information current. Make sure any links that you point the customer to is live and the content is current on any page you may refer the potential client to.

Summary:

By following some of these simple ideas, hopefully you will see your subscribers stay with you for a longer period of time. Customers are hard to get even in good times, so it is imperative to do everything we can to keep the customer base we already have. If we can do anything to improve the retention rate of new customers coming to our web site, then you've created a big bonus for yourself and you're on the right road to building a lasting online business.
